Editing and Formatting Text

Double-click directly on the text you want to change to edit. You can also edit text by selecting it, and then typing in the text editor box located in the Right Panel (above the Layers area).

Text Formatting Tools

Once you have selected text for editing on the canvas, you will see the Text Editing Tools show in the Top Toolbar above the design.

Font Selection – The current selected font name will appear in this area. Use the drop-down options to view the available fonts for the design and select a different option for the selected text.

Font Size – Select the text you want to resize, then choose a number from the drop-down box or type in a text size manually.

Font Color – Use the colored square to select a different color for the selected font. This will open the "color picker" tool. Type in a hex code for color or select a color from the design directly by clicking on a colored area with the "eyedropper" tool.

Color Swatches – If available for your design, colors can be saved as Swatches to reuse as you are editing. To save a color swatch, select the color you want and then click the Add color button. The saved color will appear in the Swatches area.

Multicolored Text – You can apply multiple colors to individual words or characters by using the cursor to highlight those characters in the text box on the canvas (or in the text editor box) and then selecting a color from the color picker.

Text Formatting – These formatting options include Bold, Italics, Underline, Strikethrough, and Superscript and Subscript options. Depending on the design settings, not all options may be available. If visible, click on the button with the three vertical “dots” (or kebab menu) to view all text formatting options.

Bulleted/Ordered Lists – Use this option to create a bulleted or numbered list from selected text. Click the button multiple times to select the desired option.

Text Alignment – Choose the desired alignment for selected text with this button. Click multiple times to select from Centered, Left Aligned, Right Aligned, and Justified.

Character and Line Spacing – Adjust the spacing between characters and lines of text. Select the text you want to change, then click on the line or height spacing icons and adjust using the sliding bars or by manually entering a number.

Glyphs – Click on the Glyphs button to access and view the different characters available for that font, including special characters (like swashes for example). Place the cursor where you want to add the character to your text, then search and select the desired character from the character map by clicking on that character.
